About Us

Established in 1967, EHUFC has a long and successful history of soccer in Cairns – recently celebrating our 50th anniversary. And while we’re not usually ones to blow our own trumpet, we’re proud to have generated our fair share of high profile players, including former Socceroo Coach and player Frank Farina, former Socceroo and Brisbane Roar Vice Captain Shane Stefanutto, as well as former Socceroo and A-League stalwart Michael Thwaite.

We’ve also worked hard achieve the following accreditations:

  1. “GOOD SPORTS CLUB” Level 2 Accreditation
  2. FFAs “National Club Accreditation Scheme (NCAS)” Level 1 Accreditation
  3. Cairns Regional Council’s “Go Clubs” accreditation scheme – Level 4 Accreditation.

Being the only inner-city senior football club in Cairns, we are also proud of our multicultural community, which includes players from the UK and Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, North Africa, Canada, USA, and South America. In fact, we welcome all players who are keen to play a season of football and enjoy great comradery  in Cairns.

So, if you think you’ve got what it takes to be a Tiger, join now.

As far as our coaching is concerned, we’re blessed with some of the best, including Head Coach – Crios O’Hare, Director of Coaching – Michael Falchetti , Ladies Coaches – Jo Ward and Dean Ashton.. At EHUFC, we’re committed to giving all our coaches (both junior and senior) the tools required to provide quality training sessions for their players, including access to coaching courses and quality equipment (balls, cones, bibs, goals and space).

But of course, we would also not be where we are today without the ongoing support of our volunteers and sponsors – your contribution is greatly appreciated by our players, members and committee.

Having said that, we wouldn’t be a not-for-profit organisation if we weren’t always looking for additional support (“nudge nudge”). So if think you’d like to help (even in a small way) we’d love to hear from you:
